Coach Stores: Flagship Locations, Boutiques and What to Look For
Coach finished its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores, according to Tapestry’s annual report. Of those stores, 336 sit in North America and 637 are overseas. Another figure in circulation, about 1,299 stores, relates to all of Tapestry’s brands together, not to Coach on its own. Reportedly, Tapestry has said it is planning around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, roughly three quarters of them in markets outside North America. Within that network sit flagship Coach House locations, regular full-price boutiques, department store concessions and Coach Outlet stores. Someone looking for a coach store could therefore find anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. In the sections below, the best-documented locations are covered city by city, with a clear warning wherever a store’s current status still has to be checked.
| Address | Store type | Current status in September 2026 | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|

| Tokyo, Ginza | Flagship | Reportedly reopened in December 2025 | First Japanese flagship dates from 2002 |

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue
Coach was established in New York in 1941, and its home city houses its most recognised flagship. The Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue was unveiled choach in the fall of 2016 to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary. It was reported at about 20,000 square feet across three floors, created with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. That said, the address will not be a permanent home: Coach has reportedly taken a lease on about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. David Yurman is reported to have taken a lease on the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029, whereas Coach’s proposed move is aimed for 2027. Since it has not been confirmed whether the current store is still open on a given day, consult Coach’s store locator before planning a special journey. The locator also lists a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, not far from Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: The Coach House on Regent Street
The address of London’s Coach House is 200–206 Regent Street, where it opened its doors in 2016 as a global concept store. It was also created with Studio Sofield, which gives it a clear kinship with the New York flagship. Reports from the time described a Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalisation. Made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly need around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks in exotic skins; a Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was reported too. Beware of the wrong opening year: one retail-district listing bears a much later page date, and that has misled some writers. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has a material presence. Anyone planning a personalisation appointment should confirm which services are on offer at present before visiting.
Tokyo: The Ginza Flagship
Tokyo’s Ginza district is home to Coach’s flagship in Japan. The first Japanese flagship opened its doors there in 2002, and the store was refreshed in 2015. It reopened on 19 December 2025 after a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY, according to reports of the relaunch. For services, Japan counts as well: select Japanese stores reportedly take part in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. Outlet items and canvas pieces are reportedly excluded, but the scheme takes gently worn all-leather retail bags. As it was not confirmed which Japanese stores participate, ask the store before bringing a bag along. Opening hours and services should be checked shortly before a visit, as with every flagship in this guide.
Greater China: An Old Shanghai Record, Plus Hong Kong and Chongqing
Next to New York or London, Coach’s large stores in Greater China are documented less thoroughly. According to a record that is now out of date, a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. It would be unwise to assume the Shanghai store is open today, since its current status could not be verified. Reports also say that Coach operates a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. Similarly, no opening date was confirmed for either of the two stores. International stores make up 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a list by city. Before travelling, trust Coach’s local store locator over older press coverage.
UK Boutiques and Concessions
Beyond Regent Street, Coach’s UK store locator includes full-price stores at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf add to the London locations. Away from London, the documented full-price store is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Concession spaces inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted, also carry Coach. Stores in Manchester, Edinburgh and other cities could not be confirmed, so check before presuming a local branch exists. If you are looking up coach uk locations, the list above captures the documented full-price options as this guide was written. Each listed store has its own page on Coach’s UK website, which is the most reliable place to confirm hours and services.

Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores
Far from being independent discounters, Coach Outlet stores form part of Coach’s own network, and Coach’s store locator labels them as outlets. In most cases, the stores are found in outlet centres; in the United States, Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common. Confirmed Coach Outlet stores in Great Britain are at Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet. Check before travelling to York Designer Outlet, as a store there has only been reported, not confirmed. Some of the outlet stock is made for the outlet channel, but the only share figure found, around 85%, dates from 2014, meaning the present mix is not known. As well as earlier-season styles, assortments also carry some full-price collection product under the reported « One Coach » strategy. As promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified, check current offers ahead of a coach outlet trip.
What You Will Find Inside a Coach Store
Shoes, clothing and small leather goods accompany the current handbag range at a full-price coach store, where handbags take centre stage. Familiar bag families in 2026 include the Tabby, introduced in 2019, the Brooklyn, introduced in August 2024, and the Empire Carryall, released in February 2025. Observed US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, but these are figures seen in the market rather than an official price list. Selected stores also take part in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Coach Insider, the free-to-join loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, so one membership works across both formats. Because Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, a receipt from a Coach store serves as useful proof of where a coach bag came from. Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013, remains Creative Director in 2026 and shapes the creative direction.
Planning a Visit
A little preparation saves wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship gets ready for its planned move. Start with Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting, since it sets apart full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. When seeking a trade-in, confirm that the particular store takes part and that your bag is all leather instead of canvas. It pays to ask beforehand whether the service is running if you want personalisation or made-to-order work. On 1 January 2021, tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended, so visitors to Britain have no VAT refund to plan around. Every receipt shows where a bag was bought should questions arise later, so keep them all. Deals change often, so check current promotions before travelling a long way to an outlet centre.
- On the day of travel, check the store locator.
- Verify that the store participates in trade-ins and that your bag is eligible.
- Personalisation services should be booked ahead.
- Hold on to receipts for every purchase.
